This Fourth Edition, dated 1837, which genuinely can be considered as a "First thus", includes a preface to the Third Edition in which the author states that she has added: "some verses illustrative of each subject". First thus : Hamburg: Hofmann, 1805, 1805. Second edition expanded and improved. Very good. 365 pages, 58 line drawings in the text. Moderately browned. Very good condition. Book is more than 200 years old and text block in outstanding condition. Previous owner's signature on title page is that of Louis Tronchin, colonel in the Swiss Federal Army.
