Three volume set with Vol. I covering ornithology, Vol. II is entomology with predominantly butterflies and moths, and lastly Vol. III is conchology. Handsome uniformed bindings of green morocco with significant gilt detailings to covers and spines. All edges gilt. Moire endpapers and gilt dentelles. A total of 182 hand-colored plates throughout with tissue guards. Moisture stains to initial and final leaves affecting the rear plates of Vol. III and initial plates of Vol. II but not damaging the image. Blank pages to rear of Vol. II. Previous owner's neat inscription to blank fly of Vol. I dated 1829. Overall a clean set in noteworthy bindings.
