The recipient, who died aged 93 at the end of 2017, was a writer and journalist, probably best known as the man who discovered Bruce Chatwin, V.S. Naipaul, Alan Hollinghurst, et al, and who rediscovered Jean Rhys.Very good indeed in very good, slightly nicked and marked dustwrapper, designed by Philippe Jullian, slightly darkened at the spine.
