Full leather binding, ruled in gilt on the covers, with gilt decorations on the spine. Clean text; very bright and clear, with light toning at the edges.Marbled endpapers and a frontis engraving. Included are "The Covent-Garden Journal" for 136 pages; "A Charge delivered to the Grand Jury...on Thursday the 29th Day of June, 1749" continuing to page 165; "The Journal of a Voyage to Lisbon" continuing to page 304; "A Fragment of a Comment on Lord Bollingbroke's Essays" continuing to page 320; and "An Enquiry into the Causes of the late Increase of Robbers" closing the essays at page 455. Light bumping at the margins; the spine rubbed rather well, the gilt remaining faint but readable. A solid copy.. Firt Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
