New York: Aperture, 1993. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/near fine. Large quarto, 399pp., illustrated. Bottom corner of text block with a few very shallow dings; still a very near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket, with a few small scuffs and creases. This copy SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Salgado to Timothy Nadeau, then-Associate Administrator of the Aperture Foundation, whose business card is neatly taped to the sleeve on the rear paste-down, which holds the caption booklet (as issued). An appealing association copy of this massive and deeply moving volume of photographs depicting individuals from the great mass of people worldwide who pick crops, manufacture everyday objects, and do all other kinds of manual labor.
