Page edges slightly toned. Decorated endpapers. Many of the biographical entries with a portrait photograph in b/w. Black pebbled cloth flexible boards lettered in gilt at front and spine, gilt faded but readable, edges rubbed, spine top and tail rubbed. Binding slightly shaken, but textblock intact, original sewn binding firm.
