The interior is clean and tightly bound; The Man Who Changed His Plea is the story of Harry Selfridge, the founder of Selfridges, a London department store. Selfridge is sentenced to 10 years in prison for tax evasion, but decides to plead guilty in order to have the sentence reduced. Although he is initially reluctant, Selfridge eventually adopts a new attitude and becomes a model prisoner, eventually serving just 4 months of his original sentence.; 8vo; 291 pages .
