New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons / The Knickerbocker Press, 1927. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. First edition, with copyright page stating "This is a copy of the First Edition" and showing the single printing date of July, 1927. Exterior boards show light soiling and corner bumping and spine shows fading. Interior binding is good, no hinge cracks, no bookplates but front end page has previous owner's name penned (Arthur Paul Davis of Princeton) ans there is also a small dampstain in the gutter just to the left of this. There is a corner bump on some of the pages near the center of the book (see photos). Pages are toned due to age and some minor foxing and smudge marks are noted. The second end page has a small corner chip/tear where it appears that someone attempted to erase a penciled price and the paper's corner tore loose. The section of paper is present. The title page has some issues near the gutter where the paper is thinned - if you zoom in on the photo look just to the left of the phrase "fully illustrated". Exterior top edge is dyed yellow but is also darkened. Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
