Publishers original blue cloth, front cover with inset color photograph of a Kingfisher, spine with black leather title label lettered in gilt, housed in a blue cloth slipcase that is leather-tipped and with an inset color photograph of a Kingfisher on the front cover, lg 4to (12 1/4 x 11 inches). This is the Collectors edition, limited to 150 numbered copies, this is no. 22. The limitation page is signed by the photographer (Dennis Nigel) and by the author (Warwick Tarboton). The name of the original subscriber, Dr. and Mrs. D. G. C. Presbury, is neatly printed on the limitation page. Their names also appear in the printed list of subscribers for the Collectors edition at the end of the volume. A very attractive copy of the Collectors edition of this important contribution to South African ornithology.
