Exciting debut by Hugh Montgomery - a former commercial diver and archaeologist. His work on the salvage of the Mary Rose, King Henry VIII's flagship which sank in 1545 was an inspiration for the writing of the Voyage of an Arctic Tern; Montgomery is also world record holder for playing the piano underwater and a working surgical consultant who is credited with the discovery of the 'fitness' gene.
