Sobre este item
New York: The Church Hymnal Corporation, 1993. First edition. Original Cloth. Fine/near fine. 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. 269 pages. Pages bright and clean and free from marking, soiling or staining. Bound in publisher's blue cloth. Dust jacket present and in near fine condition. An interesting examination of the work of Hamon L'Estrange who (in 1659) was the first author to combine a history of the Prayer Book with a commentary in what has become the standard approach to Anglican liturgical study. L'Estrange also defended Joseph Hall's advocacy of a "primitive" episcopate generations before one was seen in Scotland and more than a century before Samuel Seabury brought it to America.
