"In this book I have set out to study the novels of Vladimir Nabokov precisely the way that Roland Barthes obliterates so effortlessly here, and to make a case for the kind of criticism that he dismisses as moribund. What kind of reality do they depict? What kind of meaning do they posit? What kind of truth they tell about Nabokov and the world? These are the sorts of questions I have set out to answer" – page VII First softcover edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. XII, 236 pages, indexed with a select bibliography and chapter notes..
