Sobre este item
London: Basil Blackwell,, 1985. First UK edition, first impression, review copy, with the publisher's review slip loosely inserted, of the author's final collection of essays, among his last major statements on structural anthropology, the school of thought he founded in 1949. One of the 20th century's most influential thinkers, Lévi-Strauss exported structuralism from France and gave it new international prominence. The English translation was first released in America earlier that year. It was originally published as Le regard eloigné (1983). Octavo. Original dark red cloth, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. A fine copy in slightly rubbed dust jacket, small mark to foot of sunned spine, else bright.
