Sobre este item

Glenn Dale, MD: Mars Research, 1988. Soft cover. Very Good. Glenn Dale, MD: Mars Research, 1988. Fourth edition. 135pp.; b&w and color illus. Quarto; saddle-stapled in photo-illustrated wraps. Soiling to rear cover; some splitting at spine ends; very good. Signed & inscribed ("God Bless") to title-page by co-author Brandenburg. With illustrations and artwork by Grace DiPietro, and Viking Art by Jim Butcher. A heavily illustrated guide to such surface features of the planet Mars as would suggest some sentient and perhaps even artistic landscape intervention; a veritable case study in pareidolia. Co-author and inscriber Brandenburg is a theoretical plasma physicist (and science fiction writer) who in 2012 earned some notoriety for declaring that he detected evidence of thermonuclear war on Mars.
