Sobre este item

A truly unique set of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall Trilogy. The set includes a two-sided Signed Autograph Note on the Author's personal stationery, the World of Wolf Hall Reading Guide, the Mirror and the Light Bookmark, a Wolf Hall Postcard, a custom made slipcase for the Wolf Hall Book, and three signed UK First Impressions in fine condition; Wolf Hall is inscribed by the Author, the other two titles are signed with the Author's name.

Wolf Hall is inscribed by the Author to the title page, reading: "You never even saw me coming…. Hilary Mantel II VI 09."

Bring Up the Bodies is signed by the Author to the title page with a Topping and Co wraparound band.

The Mirror and the Light is signed to the Publisher's signed limited edition page with the "Signed by the author" sticker on the front panel. The Mirror and The Light Bookmark is also present.

The World of Wolf Hall Reading Guide is in fine condition.

The two-sided Signed Autograph Note on the Author's personal stationery is exceptionally rare to encounter. The Note is was written by the Author at the height of the COVID pandemic on April 29th 2020, and reads:

"Thank you for your lovely letter – very cheering. There is an audiobook of The Mirror & The Light read by Ben Miles – who played Thomas Cromwell on stage, and with whom I'm now writing the stage adaptation – one day there will be theatre again! I unpacked my bags 2 days before I was due to fly to the US – I remain very grateful that my publisher cancelled everything in time. I am well, and lucky – lucky to have work, and to look out on the sea. My husband has diabetes, so we are being careful. Please take great care of yourself – I suppose we'll never meet, but I shall think of you fondly and send my very best wishes – Hilary."

A wonderful and unique set for the discerning Hilary Mantel collector.

"Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall Trilogy is the magnificent, riveting historical saga of the rise and fall of Thomas Cromwell in the court of Henry VIII, featuring Anne Boleyn, Thomas More, Jane Seymour, and other political and royal players from Tudor England." (Publisher.)
