Sobre este item

London : Four Square 1347 / New English Library / NEL, 1965. Book. Good to Very Good. Paperback. First Edition.. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Paperback original containing six stories that "tell about the future -- but the problems might be happening today!" Contributors include Mack Reynolds ("Russkies Go Home!" -- now THAT turns out to be both prescient then and pertinent now), Will Worthington ("The Food Goes in the Top"), Brian W. Aldiss ("Danger: Religion!"), Harry Harrison ("Rescue Operation"), Terry Pratchett ("The Hades Business"), and Jay Williams ("The Seed of Violence"). The Pratchett story, his first to be published, appeared in 1963 in Science Fantasy #60 before being collected here. Not a particularly common title, and certainly of interest to Pratchett completists. 175 pages (including acknowledgments). Rubbing, front cover pulled back a smidge from right edge of text block, light foxing to endpapers, neat (almost didn't see it, myself) clear tape reinforcements at end papers/inside covers to keep cover secure with text block, tanning. If you buy this to read, do so as carefully as your stubby little fingers will allow, because it's old and it's fragile (much like myself), and you'll end up holding pieces of paper instead of a book -- best, really, to just slide it into that slot in your collection that's been waiting for Sir Terry's first published story. (As usual, there are more images on my site than on Amazon-owned )..
