The top & bottom edges of the front cover and the head & tail of the spine are slightly faded. The spine & extremities of the dust jacket are darkened with some soiling to its rear panel. The head of the jacket spine is torn & the tail is chipped. [viii] & 755 pages. There is an ownership label on the title page. Good. <p>First edition with "4/58" date code and $4.95 price on the front flap. This is one of Random House's known first editions with no statement of the printing on the copyright page.
