Sobre este item

[LGBTQ Pulp] Kemp, Kimberly (Pen name of Gilbert Fox) and Graham, Frank. Draw the Blinds and Surprise, Surprise. New York: Midwood Books, 1966. First Edition with cover confirming "Never Before Published." 219 pages. Measures 4.25" x 7". This rare double novel includes two lesbian pulps in the same book. Cover features a young woman in pink standing in the hallway of a mansion. Tagline reads: "Two women who were accustomed to getting everything they wanted." The first novel follows a woman on the course of success and the lesbian relationships that unfold along the way. Fox was a prolific writer of lesbian pulp novels. According to Mount Saint Vincent University: Fox served as a well-decorated lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in World War II, who, after the war, moved to Greenwich Village where they became part of the New York swinging sex scene and started writing Lesbian Pulp Fiction. He penned various lesbian pulp novels under the Midwood name, and was close to several "pro-lesbian" pulp authors of the time including Elaine Williams. Graham's novel follows a woman "settling a score" and enters into romantic triangles with several other women characters. One of few lesbian pulp novels to contain two books in one. Cover is vibrant and textblock tight. In very good condition.
