First recorded during the early Cambrian period, around three thousand species of tunicate exist. They were established in 1816 by Lamarck.Printed by the Ray Society, a publication society who prints works regarding British flora and fauna. Named for naturalist John Ray, it is based at the Natural History Museum, London.
