Colour illustrated dustwrapper with yellow and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. After inheriting a small patch of land bush Stan Parker builds a rudimentary house and brings his new wife, Amy, to share a life. They face everything life has to offer – birth, death to natural disasters – and through Stan and Amy Parker the author gives a memorable portrait of human resilience. Rubbing of the book corners with light tanning of the text block edges and pages. Scattered foxing to the text block edges with light foxing of the end pages. Offset tanning to the end pages and previous owners rubber stamp to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Minor chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip corners.
