New Edition edited by James Bain. Dark green cloth with title label on spine. Deckled and rough cut text block edges. Contains black and white photographic plates and fold-out maps. Pages are bright, although lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front paste-down, with a few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Slight tearing to half title page. Occasional grey thumb-marking present throughout. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Plates are lightly tanned and moderately foxed. Maps are lightly tanned, with light edge-wear and dog-eared corners. Boards are subtly bowed with mottled mould to rear board. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends.
