Sobre este item

David O. Selznick, 1950. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. No place of publication: Selznick Releasing Corporation, 1950, 1950. 122 mimeographed pages printed on rectos only; apart from the dialogue it includes a title leaf and a three page synopsis with character descriptions, as well as two pages of credits, all on Selznick Releasing Corporation printed forms measuring 14 x 10.5; the dialogue is identified with its starting and ending place in the final film. The title leaf reads, The Third Man/ A Selznick Release/ Prepared by Sidney G. Samuels/ March, 1950. This is the revised dialogue for the American release, and includes the original and new lines. For various reasons, the American release was 11 minutes shorter than the English one. Bound at the top with brass studs. Generally in very good, complete condition. This script was previously owned by Serendipity Books and includes a copy of their descriptions of the item in 2008. It was later sold at auction by Bonhams, which sold most of Serendipitys inventory after the death of owner Peter Howard, and this comes with the sticker from that sale. Very good, small tear and crinkling in corner of front page.

The victim of an apparently banal street accident, the late Mr. Lime, it seems, had been the focus of a criminal investigation, suspected of nothing less than being "the worst racketeer who ever made a dirty living in this city." Martins is determined to clear his friend's name, and begins an investigation of his own...
