One of 150 hand-numbered copies on rag, with 12 mounted original wood engravings on rice paper by Ilse Bischoff, including frontispiece pencil-signed by the artist. Octavo. Vellum-backed blue cloth boards; paper spine label; 253pp. Vellum portion of binding browned and discolored; bit of rubbing to boards; internally clean, bright and unmarked with all plates present and in fine condition. Attractive edition de luxe, with the original woodcuts. There was a simultaneous issue of 2000 copies with lithographic reproductions of the engravings.
