Author Michael Haag delivers a fascinating history of not only the Knights Templar, but of the Crusades, and life in general during the 200 years of the Templars’ existence. A lot of area is covered here, and what this book lacks in depth of coverage it more than makes up in breadth. This is a great book for anyone that would like to learn more about the history of Jerusalem, and the Christian and Muslim worlds in the Middle Ages. It is well-written, and easy to understand. Overall, it is highly recommended to fans of medieval history, and anyone who would like to learn more about this time in history.
