Illustrated with one plate. Collated complete. A detailed study of moths, with chapters on survival factors, mating, a matter of psychology, collecting, and notes for the novice. Written by Philip Bertram Murray Allan, a British lepidopterist and writer whose works were typically published under the initials "O.M.H." or "An Old Moth-Hunter". He is also known for running the publishing house Philip Allan and Company. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot, particularly to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
