The author/illustrator describes his leisurely journey down the Thames, from the designing and building of his boat, The Willow, through excursions to churches, woodlands, pubs, etc. along the banks, his delightful observations (both in words and drawings) of the flora and fauna he encounters along the way, and with the occasional foray into his memories of people, places and events from the past. The remains of a small Xmas sticker (holly leaves/berries) on front free endpaper, slight yellowing to the free endpapers, two very small corner bumps, minor wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spine.
