A very scarce collection of three works written by the Flemish moral theologian Leonardus Lessius, discussing religion and morals. A very scarce work. Three volumes in one. The second and third works, 'Quae Fides et Religio sit Capessenda Consultatio' and 'Disputatio de Statu Vitae Deligendo, et Religionis Ingressu', each have a separate title page, but a continuous pagination and signature. This work is a duodecimo, with the signatures running as a8, A-I6, K8, L-M6, N5. Written in Latin. With a half-title. A collection of the works of Leonardus Lessius, containing; 'De Summo Bono et Aeterna Beatitudine Hominis'. 'Quae Fides et Religio sit Capessenda Consultatio'. 'Disputatio de Statu Vitae Deligendo, et Religionis Ingressu'. These ascetical work are noted for their science and piety, and discusses beatific vision, immortality, and health attitudes. Leonardus Lessius was a Flemish moral theologian, a Jesuit. He is best known for his work on justice and law, which is not included in this volume, and for his commentary on Aquinas's Summa Theologica. His works were the among the first in-depth moral theological approaches to economic and financial questions. His works have been heavily praised by historians of economics, due to his understanding of business matters involving interest, and insurance contracts. His works also contain design arguments for the existence of God, with his analytical nature providing a thorough analysis of the existence of God. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
