Dustjacket very good. Light wear to edges, a tiny closed tear to DJ rear panel upper edge. Slightly sunned DJ spine. Gilt lettering to spine, brown cloth-covered boards. Tight binding. 293 pp with glossary of terms, selected bibliography, and contributors. "With great clarity and flexibility, the three major positions on the structure of meter -- traditionalist, liguistic, and musical -- are explained and defended by leading theoreticians," (front flap). Gross also adds a new section devoted to the styles of T.S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, Theodore Roethke, Stanley Kunitz, and Donald Justice.
