A near fine hardcover book which has a small scratch on the rear board and a few traces of edge wear; in a very good dustjacket which is whole and complete with a couple tiny chips (one at the top left of the front panel and one along the top of the rear panel). Essentially a clean, collectible copy of a somewhat fragile vintage children's classic. Illustrated bu Kurt Weise. A classic tale of a Peking duckling which is one of the most beloved children's books of the 20th century. This is the first printing (three-line copyright on title page) in the first printing jacket with coupon on rear flap and $1.00 price.
