Some scratches to covers; rubbing to extremities; darkening to spine; hinges beginning to weaken; free front endpaper is clipped; some pages have creasing. Still a better than acceptable reading copy. 198pp 4 b/w plates. One of the less known books by the author of the original Uncle Remus stories, this is a lively and entertaining story taking place in the pre Civil War days in the Old South.Herford, Oliver.
