London: Longmans, Green & Co.. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1938. First Edition. Hardcover. Greenish/Turquoise boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. No Dustjacket. The top page fore-edges are very dusty but were originally light green/blue, and there are some marks to the spine and some slight spots/marks/light rubbing to the boards. The page fore-edges and the endpapers have a few very light foxing (brown) spots. The paper is uniformly cream. There are NO Inscriptions or other Marks. (x) + 308 pp. Illustrated with b/w photographs. Overall, apart from the 'faults', as detailed above, this is a Tight and Secure 'Good Plus' copy. "This provides an account of life amongst the whalers off South Gerogia on the Research Vessel 'Discovery 2'." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
