Signal from Space

This copy of the colored science fiction First Edition of Signal from Space by Will Eisner was published in 1983 by the Kitchen Sink Press of Princeton, Wisconsin and printed in Italy. The book carries the ISBN No. 0-87816-014-0. The material originally appeared, in black and white, in Will Eisner's Spirit Magazine, serialized under the title "Life on Another Planet". This edition contains revised artwork by Eisner and appears in color for the first time.

The book, which measures approximately 8.75 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 0.5 inches thick, contains 132 pages dedicated to the comic-strip format tale. The book is hardbound in brightly colored decorated paper covered boards. The book, in its entirety, is in as new condition.

William Erwin Eisner ( March 6, 1917 – January 3, 2005) was an American cartoonist, writer, and entrepreneur. He was one of the earliest cartoonists to work in the American comic book industry, and his series The Spirit (1940–1952) was noted for its experiments in content and form. In 1978, he popularized the term "graphic novel" with the publication of his book A Contract with God. He was an early contributor to formal comic studies with his book Comic and Sequential Art (1985). The Eisner Award was named in his honor and is given to recognize achievements each year in the comics medium; he was one of the three inaugural inductees to the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.
