Half-title, hand-coloured engraved frontispiece and 7 hand-coloured plates by G. Quinton of which 3 folding, engraved armorial bookplate (cut out in outline) of William Lewis to the front free end paper (said to be Bewick). Contemporary binding of half pollished calf over marbked boards, black title label to spine, good and strong, front joint repaired, some rubbing to extremities. Contents clean and tight, bibliographic notes in pencil to the front paste-down. A very good copy. Scarce. [Hagen 231.1; Lisney 412; Nissen ZBI 1342]..
