New York: Modern Library, 1954. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. First Modern Library edition. Prints *A Curtain of Green* and *The Wide Net*, which include many of her most famous stories. Introduction by Katherine Anne Porter. Spine slightly cocked, covers lightly soiled with modest edgewear, very good in a price-clipped good or better dust jacket with modest wear and soil, a lightly sunned spine, and chipping and tears along the edges. An uncommon title, and the one reportedly used by Welty at most of her readings.
