London: John Murray, 1954. Reprint . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 1954 THIRD IMPRESSION of SIXTH UK EDITION. Original red cloth, four gilt snowflakes front cover corner, gilt lettering & one snowflake spine. The book is in nice condition with bright clean covers, a couple of faint light marks to spine cover, old owner name penned to top of blank FFEP otherwise no owner marks or writing on any pages, complete with all illustrations and folding maps, pages clean and bright without any foxing, tight binding. The dust jacket has small loss at tips of corners, rubbing at creases, 3cm tear upper flap fold, 2cm tear lower rear spine crease, price-clipped front flap corner. Book measures 223mm tall x 153mm, and has 414 pages, 5 folding maps, 110 illustrations, 7 b/w photos, 11 appendices, index. Book is complete with all plates, maps, and charts. Folding maps are in excellent condition. PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM BEING OFFERED.
