London: John Lane, The Bodley Head., 1924. 1st Edition . Cloth. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. First edition green cloth binding, repair to the rear hinge, small mark at the bottom of the front cover, the cloth is pretty clean, slight fading on the spine. Toning to the pages, some foxing spots to the margin fore-edges in places, browning to the mapped endpapers, rear inner hinge loosened a bit and with cloth strengthening, inscription on the half title page. With 24 sheets of plates (checked complete- plate 2 consists of 2 plates, so actually 25 sheets of plates), illustrations in the text. Travels on the south coast of England, (Richborogh, Reculver, Dover, Lympne, Pevensey, Porchester, Brancaster), with much in the way of history, lovely illustrations.
