This is the final book in a trilogy. It was a good series; I read all three books in about a month. The characters and plot are rich and complex. It's dramatic, sensual, gory,... all that life is made of. The only mood that is consistent threw out this finally is a sense of urgency.
Rose of the World brings together all the plots in a satisfactory way. It's not a predictable ending either, some people live and succeed ; a surprising number of people considered to be important died. Those that where once thought of as good reveal there darker side and some bad goes good. I found myself cheering, crying, upset and ultimately content with the ending.
