New York: George H. Doran Company, 1923. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Black leather boards with gilt on front and spine, marbled end pages. Top edge gilt. No bookplates or signatures noted in book. Some foxing spots are present and hinges are starting to open at both front and rear. Illustrated by numerous artists and photographers with the frontispiece artist being James Montgomery Flagg. Book exterior shows handling wear, mainly along the edges. End fore edge on as most of the interior pages are still uncut and are connected at the outside edge - this seems to be the case with about 20-25% of the book. This appears to be a deluxe edition as it is larger and leather bound, compared to the regular edition which has a tan cloth exterior and plain end pages.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
