The author also authored Fra Barolommeo, Ghiberti and Donatello, A Nook in the Apennines, and other notable works of art history. Big, tall quarto format copy in blue cloth over boards hardcover, binding secure but lightly shaken, gorgeous gilt illustration of a lion to front cover, lettering to cover and to spine. Bumping to, scuffing of spine head, foot, edges, tips, a penned initial inside front flap from perhaps previous owner, and with nearly 200 black-and-white illustrations by Mr. Cundall, mostly being fine engravings, including that at frontis, "The Madonna and Child." Reproductions of fine Italian Renaissance paintings by Raphael, Donatello, Pisano, Giotto, Cronaca, Michelozzi, Ghiberti, Brunelesco, Verrocchio, Fra Angelico, Giorgione, and others. xxii [3], 2-384 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
