A very good hardcover. A couple of tiny blemishes as shown in the pictures. No dust jacket as published. The pages are clean and the binding is excellent. Wesley Dennis (illustrator). First Illustrated Edition. Copyright date 1945. Beige cloth over boards with blue border around the front panel gilt lettering on the blue background on the spine and a glued on illustration of a colt on the front board. All page edges tinted dark blue. Illustrated throughout.
Sinopse
"The Red Pony" is an episodic novella written by American writer John Steinbeck in 1933. The first three chapters were published in magazines from 1933–1936, and the full book was published in 1937 by Viking Penguin. The stories in the book are tales of a boy named Jody Tiflin. The book has four different stories about Jody and his life on his father's California ranch.
