Light-blue boards with red writing on spine; author's name and book title embossed in red on front board. Very small bumps to top corners of front and back boards; book has slight lean. Foxing on interior of front board and first interior page; foxing also on interior of back board and last page. Slight foxing on side and bottom page edges; front dust jacket has slight chipping on edges. Dust jacket spine has rubbing and shelf wear on top and bottom; foxing on edges of duast jacket flaps. Cover price of $2.95 on front inside dust jacket flap; other than slight lean, book has overall tight binding and pages still look in excellent condition.
Atlantic-Little, Brown First Edition, First Printing as indicated by "FIRST EDITION" and "Published January 1941" listed on copyright page. Copy is in excellent shape for being over 80 years old.
Hilton's novel written seven years after Goodbye, Mr. Chips, is "a large and ample story full of living people and sharp incident and the plot makes you catch your breath." Hardcover and original unclipped dust jacket protected by archival Mylar cover.
Sinopse
Random Harvest is a novel written by James Hilton, first published in 1941. Like previous Hilton works, including Lost Horizon and Goodbye, Mr. Chips, the novel was immensely popular, placing second on The New York Times list of bestselling novels for the year. The novel was successfully adapted into a film of the same name in 1942 under the direction of Mervyn LeRoy.
