Sobre este item

The First UK printing published by Stanley, Paul & Co., London in 1915. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light pushing at the spine ends. The gilt tilting to the spine remains very bright. Light toning to the text-block and page edges. Mild offsetting to the end-papers. Free from inscriptions. The scarce WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ condition. Priced '6/-' to the spine. Age related edge wear with some loss at the spine ends with some rubbing of the publisher's logo at the base of the spine. Some darkening to the spine and folds. A few small closed tears to the edges with a very small rubbed area to the middle of the front spine fold. The wrapper design looks striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The first english translation of a late Dumas novel. Extremely scarce with the original wrapper. Accompanied by two loosely inserted publisher's promotional flyers for other titles. Collectible. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
