Sydney: Angus and Robertson, 1932. Third edition. Hardcover. Very Good/fair. protected in an archival Brodart clear cover now. States that there were 2000 of each edition of editions 1, 2 and 3. Very rare with it's dust jacket.
pp. x, 272, xviii catalogue at rear, Dark blue cloth covered boards lettered in gold to spine - mottled appearance; light yellow paper wrapper lettered in black. Wrapper is lightly soiled eps and half title are toned and soiled; light foxing to first and last few pages. First published in 1931, Idriess's 'how-to' manual was extremely popular, going into a second print run within a month. By 1932 it was into its third edition and over the next decade several more editions followed, making it a compendium of information for any historian of mining and metallurgy.
