Blue embossed cloth boards with black lettering to front cover and spine. Good reading copy of this scarce edition. ; 256 pages; A sequel to 'The Texan'. A story of 'The Wonderful Freemasonry of the Cow country'! The author was a prolific author of Westerners. He set most of his books in Canada, Alaska, or Montana. His novels portrayed Canada as a relatively lawful and orderly place with reliable police and a civilized court system. He compared this unfavorably to Alaska and Montana as relatively lawless places where criminals could find a safe haven. This novel is set in Montana. .
