London: Henry Frowde, Oxford University Press, 1912. ~Original half red calf, red cloth to boards. Raised bands, gilt lettering, and gilt compartments to spine. Single gilt rules to leather on boards. Gilt decor to top and bottom spine edges. Spine slightly faded. 8vo (14.5 x 20cm). Top edges gilt, other edges slightly foxed, with single small ink mark to fore-edges. Hinges sound. Cracking barely starting to front endpaper only over gutter. Marbled endpapers. Illustrated bookplate (slightly foxed) to inside front board; bookplate dated 1983 to front free endpaper. Pencil inscription dated 1914 to blank front endpage. Tiny bookbinder's / bookseller's stamp: 'Hatchards. 187. Picadilly'. Portrait frontis. A little foxing, mostly to endpages. From 'Note': 'consists of the Poems and Masks (as apart from the Dramas) (...) together with two groups of Later Poems and Poems in Classical Prosody now published for the first time or now first collected'. Robert Bridges (1844-1930), Poet Laureate. A very attractive binding. ~Robust packaging. All UK orders trackable, others on request. . 1st edn thus. Hardback. The business is run from a shop stocking about 10,000 books opposite Christ Church gardens in the centre of Oxford (open 10-5, Monday-Saturday). Particular interests include Roman Catholicism, Eastern Christianity, Liturgy, Inklings (notably C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien), Christian Art, Patristics, Biblical Studies, Newman & the Oxford Movement.
