London: The Chiswick Press, 1863. Full-Leather. Collectible; Very Good. A handsome copy of the1863 1st Chiswick Press edition. Bound (and signed) in full brown morocco by Riviere. Gilt-ruled and designed panels, bright gilt-decorated compartments, raised bands. Very light fraying and just a touch of chipping along spine. A solid VG to VG+ copy. Still tightly bound and firm. Thick quarto, 415 pgs., all edges gilt. 3 oval albumen photographic prints, the extra "Eton prize book" leaf bound-in, mounted albumen frontis portrait. Elegant mid-19th century edition of Thomas Gray's poems and letters.
