Sobre este item

Boulder, Colorado and Oxford, U.K.: Westview Press, 1999. This fine First Edition (with a complete "number line" ending in a "1" to indicate First Printing) is in As New, unread condition, with an As New price-unclipped dust jacket. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. The author shows how the different myths regarding both the settlements in Jamestown, Virginia, and Plymouth, Massachusetts grew and changed over the years to fuel debates over immigration, women's rights, abolition, Indian removal, and numerous other sectional interests, which added to rifts that finally exploded into the Civil War. The book is bound in orange boards, with a black cloth spine and die-stamped gilt spine titles. The book includes black-and-white drawings and paintings. The book measures 6 3/8 by 9 3/8 inches and includes 378 pages, with Index. . First Edition. Hard Cover. As New/As New. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
