Sobre este item
Chicago, W. B. Conkey Co., Circa Late 1800's. Hardcover. Very Good/Unknown. 12 mo. hardcover, near fine. Blue decorative boards with light rubbing to spine. Interior NF. Date on endpaper1894. 231 pp. Bunyan wrote this book in Bedford Goal, which may bring hope and consolation to some of the myriads of those imprisoned for conscience's sake since his day. The early demand for the book was not from the learned, but from the pious and the young. Its language has become common to all and its prose style has profundly affected later writers.
