Floral endpapers. 513 pp., 2 pp. advertising. Antique ex-library with hand-numbered and hand-dated (1883) bookplate purchased directly from library started by another Captain, William Sturgis. Spine cloth torn along edges, needing to be set down, front hinge cracked, book shaken, old waterstain to first signature (which is loose) and part of frontispiece, discoloration to rear board.
