Bright yellow cloth with forest green cover lettering and decorations (four national flag emblems at the corners of the front cover), frontispiece with protective tissue, 217 pages, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with some light surface soil to the edges, minor additional edgewear, sound text block, good hinges, light soil to endpapers and outer edges of the text block, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not corner clipped and is in generally good condition, somewhat grayed by surface soil against the white background, small smudge beneath illustration of Penelope on the front panel, rubbed joints, a half inch square chip atop right front cover left of corner, minor additional edgewear. One of the three Penelope's Experiences books that takes the American heroine traveling throughout Europe. The London Spectator called the author of Penelope books "one of the most successful ambassadors between America and Great Britain". . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
